Tiivistelmä
Tämä diplomityö tehtiin Voikkaalla Dust Control Systems Oy:lle. Työ on osa
teollisuuspuhaltimien tuotekehitystä yrityksen olemassaolevan puhallinratkaisujen, sekä
suunnitteluprosessin kautta. Työn tavoitteena oli tutkia puhaltimen toiminnasta aiheutuvan
värähtelyn vaikutusta puhaltimen rakenteisiin nykyisillä puhallinmalleilla, sekä tutkia eri
rakenneratkaisujen käyttöä yrityksen normaalista tuotelinjasta suuremmilla puhaltimilla.
Työ toteutettiin kahden toteutuneen puhallinprojektin yhteydessä, joiden rakenteellisia
ominaisuuksia pyrittiin arvioimaan normaalin suunnitteluprosessin ohella
puhallinkomponenttien mitoituksen suhteen. Molemmat projektit olivat yrityksen
laskentaohjelmaa.
Työn aikana todettiin, että tarkempi FE-mallinnus yrityksen valmiista 3D-malleista on
varsin hankala toteuttaa ja vaatisi mallien suunnittelun erityisesti lujuuslaskentaa varten.
Laskennassa päädyttiin käyttämään yksinkertaistettuja malleja, joiden avulla saatiin
johdonmukaisia arvioita puhaltimien toiminnasta eri materiaalivahvuuksilla. Käytännössä
tuloksien oikeellisuutta päästään arvioimaan kesällä 2015 puhaltimien valmistuttua. This master’s thesis was written in Voikkaa for Dust Control Systems Oy. The thesis is a
part of product development for the company’s centrifugal fans through the existing fan
models and planning process. The aim for the thesis was to study the vibrations caused by
the fan’s operation and its effect on the framework as well as to examine different
solutions for the frame construction for bigger fan models outside the company’s normal
product range.
The thesis was put into practice with two fan projects, which structural attributes were
evaluated next to the normal design process of the fan components. Both projects were
large and challenging to design, so they were well suited for a master’s thesis. Tools used
for the FEM designing were Femap and COMSOL softwares, and the University’s
RoBeDyn software were used for the simulation of the vibrations.
During the thesis were realized that an accurate FEM modelling were hard to accomplish
with the existing 3D-models, and it would require the models to be designed especially for
strength calculation. The use of simplified models were chosen, which were able to get
consistent estimates of fan functioning on different material strengths. In practice the
results can be evaluated in summer 2015 when the fans are manufactured.
