Launeen alueen kotihoidon haasteita
käydään läpi neljässä eri työpajassa. Työssä esitetään Quest-simulointiohjelmiston
ominaisuuksia, sekä Launeen alueen simulointimallin luomista aina suunnittelusta
verifiointiin. Työn tuottama lisäarvo kotihoidon kehittämisessä tulee ilmi neljässä eri
vaihtoehtoajossa kotihoitajien asiakkaalta toiselle kulkemien matkojen ja matkoihin
käytettyjen aikojen mittaamisessa. The growing amount of senior citizens in the upcoming decades sets growing strains
on the Finnish home care. The limited resources of cities are already being pushed to
the limits and it seems the upcoming years do not bring any relief. Staff in home care
environment can't be increased in parallel with the ever growing flow of new customers
to match the required level of service. Home care of city of Lahti is seeking technical
aids to meet the challenges faced in home care environment, for example with an
algorithm created to distribute work to home care employees and through simulation
model. Guided by an action research, this diploma thesis introduces benefits and limits of a
simulation model created to meet the challenges in Lahti home care environment.
These challenges were discussed in four different workshops. Further this diploma
work introduces Quest simulation software and its features and the concepts of building
a simulation model all the way from design to verification. Results of this diploma work
are presented in four different simulation scenarios, creating data to measure distances
driven by home care employees and times used to driving these distances.
