Tilitoimistossa palveluinnovaatioita esti liiallinen kiire. Tilitoimiston diskurssien kautta ilmenevä palveluinnovaatioprosessin johtaminen oli melko kehittymätöntä verrattuna tutkimuksen innovatiivisimpaan yritykseen, joka suunnitteli taloteknisiä ohjelmistoja. The purpose of this thesis was to examine how discourses of the KIBS firms affect to leadership behavior in service innovation management process. In this research the accounting firm was context and it was compared to the other KIBS firms. As a research method interviews and as an analyzing method discourse analysis were used. The results show that the discourses of the accounting firm are data information technologies and staff training which are strongly trusted when developing service innovation. In service innovation management this may mean shortening field of vision. In the accounting firm autonomy of the work for example was detected as one of the innovation motives. Service innovations were prevented in the accounting firm because of too busy work pace. Leadership behavior in service innovation management process in the accounting firm was rather undeveloped compared to the most innovative firm in this comparison; the firm that design computer programs for the building technics.
