Tiivistelmä
Työssä tutkittiin kaksivaiheisen typenpoistoprosessin (2-N-PRO) soveltuvuutta Joutsenon
Kukkuroinmäen aluejätekeskuksen kompostointilaitoksen jätevesille pilot-kokein 12.1.-
5.4.2006. Kompostilaitoksella on jätevesien esikäsittelytarve korkeista ammoniumtyppipitoisuuksista
johtuen.
Pilot-laitteisto koostuu sekoitussäiliöstä, strippaustornista ja katalyyttipolttimesta. Käsiteltävän
jäteveden pH nostetaan korkealle tasolle, jolloin ammoniumtyppi muuttuu ammoniakiksi.
Vesi johdetaan strippaustorniin, jossa se sadetetaan tornin pohjalle. Ammoniakki
erottuu sadetuksessa ilmaan, joka imetään katalyyttipolttimelle. Katalyyttinen poltin käsittelee
ammoniakkia typpikaasuksi. Pilot-kokeet suoritettiin jatkuvatoimisesti.
Laitteisto pystyy erottamaan jätevedestä ammoniumtyppeä ammoniakiksi ja käsittelemään
ammoniakin pääosin typpikaasuksi. Lisäksi suoritettiin panoskoe, jonka tulokset tukevat
jatkuvatoimisesta käytöstä saatuja tuloksia. The goals of this thesis is about to study and test whether two-phase nitrogen removal process
(2-N-PRO) suits to handle the wastewater coming from the compost facility located in
Joutseno by employing a pilot scale research. The compost facility has the need to preprocess
their wastewater because of its high level of ammonium.
The pilot-machinery consists of a mixture tank, a stripping tower and a catalytic combustion
machine. The pH level of the wastewater will be raised at high level and ammonium
will turn in to ammonia. Afterthis, the water will be guided to the stripping tower were it
falls into the bottom of the tower. Ammonia will be separated from the water in to the air.
The air will be sucked in to the catalytic combustion machine. Thecatalytic machine will
turn the ammonia in to nitrogen gas. The pilot research was done by continuous flow.
The machinery could separate ammonium into ammonia and treat ammonia into nitrogen
gas. A patch process was also made and the results supports the results coming from the
continuous use.
