Puunkorjuuprosessia kuvaavista tunnusluvuista aktiivisimmin seurattiin puunkorjuun tuottavuutta.
Ehdotetussa työkalussa rajauduttiin suorituskyvyn taloudelliseen ja prosessinäkökulmaan. Prosessinäkökulmassa keskityttiin puunkorjuuprosessiin ja tutkittiin, kuinka uuden StanForD2010 –tiedonsiirtostandardin avulla puunkorjuun tunnuslukujen tuottaminen voitaisiin automatisoida.
Seurantatyökalun sisällöksi ehdotettiin yhteensä 43 talouden ja puun-korjuuprosessin tunnuslukua. Lisäksi ehdotettiin, että yrityksen suorituskykyä kuvaamaan laskettaisiin yrityskohtaisesti valittavista tunnusluvuista johdettu yksi tunnusluku – kokonaissuorituskykyindeksi.
Ehdotettu seurantatyökalu mahdollistaa suorituskyvyn mittaamisen tehostamisen metsäkoneyrityksissä. Työkalusta puuttuvat asiakas- ja henkilöstö- sekä oppimisnäkökulmat, joten jatkossa onkin selvitettävä näiden näkökulmien liittäminen työkaluun. The aim of this study was to plan performance management tool for forest harvesting enterprises. Current state of performance monitoring was studied via questionnaire for forest harvesting enterprises. Interviews and discussions with forest harvesting and forest machine experts were done, too.
Only 54 percent of enterprises had systematic performance monitoring. The most common reason for not to monitor performance was the lack of time. With those enterprises who had systematic performance monitoring the most common financial indicator was operating profit and the most common process indicator was productivity of forest harvesting.
The planned performance management tool was limited for financial and process performance categories. With the process category the focus was on forest harvesting process. The new StanForD2010 –communication standard was studied in order to find out how process indicators could be automatically gathered.
The proposition of performance management tool included total amount of 43 financial and process indicators. However, the total performance of enterprise is summarized into one indicator – total performance index.
The proposed performance management tool gives forest harvesting enterprises an opportunity to make performance monitoring more efficient. However, the lack of customer-, personnel- and learning categories makes the tool unbalanced and rises up the need for further plan-ning.
