Totuus on kuitenkin toinen.
Tutkimuksen alussa on perehdytty naisjohtajuuden tutkimukseen, jotta ymmärretään erilaisten tekijöiden merkitys naisen työuraan yleisesti. Suomalaisten naisjohtajien tutkimuksen osalta selvitetään yhteiskunnan työkulttuurin ja rakenteiden sekä johtamistavan merkityksiä työuran kehitykseen. Lisäksi tutkitaan tärkeimpiä tekijöitä, jotka vaikuttavat suomalaisen naisjohtajan työuraan. Lasikattoilmiön selvitysten myötä ymmärretään paremmin ilmiön vaikutukset naisen työuran esteenä. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa on perehdytty suomalaisen naisjohtajan hallitustyöskentelyyn.
Tutkimus toteutettiin kvalitatiivisena tutkimuksena. Tutkimusaineisto koostui kahdesta teemahaastattelusta, tuoreista lehtiartikkeleista ja marraskuussa 2016 julkaistusta keskuskauppakamarin naisjohtajaselvityksestä. Tutkimustulokset osoittavat, että naisten on oltava rohkeampia uusien työhaasteiden suhteen. Naisten on hakeuduttava enemmän tekniseen koulutukseen. Lisäksi naisten tulee huolehtia työurankatkoista hallitusti, jotta työelämän kehityksestä ei jäädä jälkeen. Naisten korkean ammattitaidon avulla rikotaan lasikattoja. Women are needed today more Finnish companies' management teams and governments. A lot of news is being made and legislation allows businesses to ensure that equality is realized in recruitment. But the truth is the other. In Finland, women are under-represented in corporate leadership positions and governments.
The aim of the study is to find out why Finland has few female managers in corporate leadership positions and governments today. The aim is to find the most important factors that are a barrier to women's career development. At the beginning of the study, a survey of women leadership has been studied to understand the importance of different factors for the career of a woman in general. In the study of Finnish women leaders, the significance of working culture and structures of society as well as leadership in the development of career development is studied. In addition, the most important factors affecting the career of the Finnish women's leader are studied. The findings of the glass roof effect will better understand the effects of the phenomenon as a barrier to a woman's career. In addition, the research has studied the work of the Finnish women's director.
The research was carried out as a qualitative study. The research material consisted of two thematic interviews, recent press articles and the Women's Leadership Report of the Central Chamber of Commerce published in November 2016. Research findings show that women must be more courageous in terms of new job challenges. Women must seek more technical training. In addition, women must take care of job savers in a controlled manner so that the development of working life will not be postponed. High-skilled women are breaking glass roofs.
