Toiminnanohjausohjelmiston vaatimusten määrittäminen kahden itäsuomalaisen pk-yrityksen tarkoituksiin

Abstract

Pk-sektorille suunnattuja toiminnanohjausjärjestelmiä on markkinoilla jo useita. Niistä on pyritty tekemään kevyempiä ja edullisempia käyttää, kuin suurille yrityk-sille suunnatuista ohjelmistoista. Ohjelmisto hanke sisältää aina riskejä. Varsinkin keskeisessä asemassa olevan järjestelmän hankinta on tehtävä harkiten. Pk-yritysten resurssit hankintaan ovat rajalliset, vaikkakin ohjelmiston hankinta saattaa olla yksi tärkeimpiä investointeja yrityksen historiassa. Tutkimukseni käsittelee erään itäsuomalaisen yritysryppään kahden yksittäisen yri-tyksen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän tarpeiden kartoitusta. Työ perustuu Tampereen teknillisen yliopiston kehittämään C-CEI (Customer-Centered ERP Implementation) -menetelmän ensimmäisen vaiheen määrittelyyn. Menetelmä on kehitetty erityisesti pk-yritysten tietojärjestelmähankkeisiin. Siinä suoritetaan kolmivaiheinen analyysi ja tässä tutkimuksessa keskityttiin ensimmäiseen vaiheeseen, toimintoanalyysiin. Me-netelmän ovat kehittäneet Inka Vilppola ja Ilkka Kouri. Tutkimuksessa kartoitettiin yritysten nykyistä tilaa, selvitettiin tulevan ohjelmiston tarpeita ja sivuttiin alustavasti järjestelmän käyttöönoton haasteita. Keskeisenä tavoitteena oli selvittää, kuinka kah-den eri yrityksen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän tarpeet kohtaavat toisensa. Tutkimus toteutettiin haastattelututkimuksena. Tulokset vahvistivat yritysten yhtene-vät ERP-järjestelmän tarpeet. Molemmissa yrityksissä ohjelmiston perustarpeet ovat samanlaiset.

There are already several targeted at the SME sector ERP systems on the market. They have tried to make them lighter and cheaper than those used for large companies. A software project always involves risks. The acquisition of a central software system must be done with caution. Literature is familiar with a rather extensive research in the sector where the ERP system acquisition has been unsuccessful. SMEs' resources for procurement are limited, though the acquisition of a software may be one of the most important investments in the company's history. My research deals with mapping the needs of an enterprise resource planning system for two individual companies in Eastern Finland. The work is based on the definition of the first phase of the C-CEI (Customer-Centered ERP Implementation) method developed by the Tampere University of Technology. The method has been developed especially for information systems projects for SMEs. It is a three-staged method and in this study the focus is on the first step in the function analysis. The method has been developed by Inka Vilppola and Ilkka Kouri. The study explored the current state of the enterprises, clarified the needs of future software and sketched out the challenges of system deployment. The key objective was to find out how the needs of the ERP system of two different companies meet each other. The survey was conducted as an interview study. The results confirmed the existence of similar needs for ERP-system. In both companies, the basic features of the software are similar.
