Tiivistelmä
CO2 direct air capture (DAC) is of high relevance for synthetic hydrocarbons used for fuels and chemicals to achieve a zero-greenhouse-gas emission energy system. Temperature stabilization at levels of well below 2°C requires CO2 direct removal from the atmosphere for which DAC technology is well positioned. Low-cost electricity from renewables and expected cost decline of DAC units with technological learning enable competitive costs for captured CO2
