Valokuituverkon toiminta, liiketoiminta ja hankkeentoteutus

Abstract

Internetin käytön yleistyminen ja uusien palvelujen kautta kaistavaatimusten kasvaminen pakottavat kehittämään tiedonsiirtoverkkoa ympäri maailmaa. Tässä kandidaatin työssä keskitytään valokuituun, joka toimii yhtenä ratkaisuna kehittyneiden tiedonsiirtopalvelujen vaatimuksiin. Käydään läpi valokuitutekniikalla toteutetun verkon toiminta ja komponentit sekä televerkkoyhtiön mahdollisuudet käyttää verkkoa. Lopuksi suunnitellaan valokuituverkko valitulle alueelle ja lasketaan kyseisen verkon keskeisimmät arvot.

The increasing use of the Internet and new media services increase bandwidth requirements are forcing the development of the communication network around the world. This bachelor’s theses focus on optical fibre, which is one of the solutions to the demands of advanced data communication services. We go through the operation of the fiber optic network and components and the potential of the telecom network to access the network. Finally, design the fibre optic network in the selected area and calculate the core values of that network.
