Tiivistelmä
Diplomityö tehtiin tilaustyönä nuorelle sosiaali- ja terveysalan yritykselle. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli antaa selkeä nykytilan analysointi ja strategiaehdotus tutkimusyritykselle.
Tutkimuksen teoriat käsittelevät yritysten kasvua, elinkaarimalleja, resursseja, strategiaa, motivaatiota ja johtamista. Empiirinen tutkimusosuus toteutettiin teemahaastattelun avulla. Lisäksi tutkimusaineistoa kerättiin toimialaraporteista, kilpailutusaineistosta, tilinpäätöksistä, yrityksen viikkopalavereista, yrityksen tapahtumista ja yrityksen kotisivuilta.
Tutkimuksen analysoinnissa verrattiin valittuja teorioita tutkimusyritykseen. Johtopäätöksistä löytyvän strategiaehdotuksen keskeinen sisältö on kannattava kasvu. Yrityksen kasvua ja strategian käyttöönottoa varten yrityksen tulisi laajentaa hallitusta ja aloittaa säännöllinen hallitustyöskentely. Lisäksi yrityksen tulisi laajentua muihin sosiaalialan palveluihin, keskittää enemmän huomiota yrityksen resurssien lisäykseen sekä laatia erillinen kasvusuunnitelma ikäihmisten koti- ja hoivapalveluita tuottavalle tytäryhtiölle. The thesis was commissioned by a young social and health care sector company. The aim of the study was to provide a clear analysis of the current situation and a strategy proposal for the research company.
The theories of the thesis concern business growth, life cycle models, resources, strategy, motivation and leadership. The empirical research part was carried out with the help of a thematic interview. In addition, other research material was collected from industry reports, tender data, financial statements, company weekly meetings, company events and the company’s website.
The analysis of the study compared the selected theories to the research company. The key content of the strategy proposal found in the conclusions section is profitable growth. In order to grow and implement the strategy, the company's board of directors should be expanded, and regular board work should be initiated. In addition, the company should expand into other social services and focus more on increasing the company’s resources. The company should also make a separate growth plan for the company’s home and care services subsidiary.
