Tiivistelmä
Autoalalla on paljon vuosikymmeniä kestäviä yritysten välisiä kumppanuus suhteita, mutta myös paljon kumppanuuksia, jotka ovat hyvin lyhytaikaisia. Tarpeettoman lyhyet kumppanuussuhteet syövät resursseja kummaltakin kumppanuusosapuolelta. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena on rakentaa autoalan maahantuojan ja jälleenmyyjän kumppanuustutkimuksen avulla viitekehys kumppanuusstrategian rakentamiselle ja identifioida alueet, jotka vaativat lisää tutkimusta. Kumppanuuksien onnistumistodennäköisyyden kasvattaminen parantaa alan tuottavuutta ja kannattavuutta
Tutkimus toteutettiin tapaustutkimuksena käyttäen laadullisin menetelmiin kuuluvaa teemahaastattelua, jossa oli lomakehaastattelulle tyypillisiä arviointikohtia. Tässä suhteessa tutkimus toteuttaa MMR-periaatetta. Tutkimuksen teoriaosuus käsittelee arvoketjun ulottuvuuksia, kumppanuustutkimuksen ulottuvuuksia ja teorioita, kilpailupolitiikkaa ryhmäpoikkeusasetuksen muodossa sekä autoalan ominaispiirteitä. Tutkimuksen empiirinen osuuteen kuuluu teemahaastattelun rakentaminen, haastattelut ja niiden purkaminen, tulosten analysointi sekä viitekehyksen rakentaminen.
Tutkimustulosten perusteella tehtiin kumppanuuksien onnistumisasteen parantamiseen tarkoitettu viitekehys. Many partnerships in automotive business last for decades however there is also many partnerships that last very short time. Unnecessary short partnerships waste resources both partnership partners. The objective of this study is to build a framework for building a partnership strategy through an automotive importer-dealer partnership research and to identify areas that require further research. Enhanced partnership in automotive business vertical value chain between automotive importer and retailer will improve the industry's productivity and profitability
The study was carried out as a case study using a semi-structured interview included in the qualitative methods, which had few questions adapted from structured interview. In this aspect, the study implements the MMR principle. The theoretical part of the study deals with the different dimensions of the value chain, the dimensions and theories of partnership research, EU competition policy in a block exemption regulation and the characteristics of the automotive retail and distribution businesses. The empirical part of the study includes the construction of the semi constructed interview, the interviews and their dismantling, the analysis of the results and the construction of the framework.
Based on the results of the study, a reference framework was developed to improve the success rate of the partnerships. The study found that in a partnership between automotive importers and dealers, the parties have a slightly different focus on the business and the strongest common link to strategies is sales and sales targets. There is a lack of shared long-term goals built together by partnerships, nor is there a shared partnership strategy to achieve them. The framework helps to understand the missing target level and helps in the general level to correct these shortages.
