Tiivistelmä
Työssä tutkitaan dieselmoottorin muodostaman vääntö- ja nopeusvärähtelyn kompensointia, eli vaimentamista, samalle akselille asennettavaa sähkökonetta hyödyntäen. Työ toteutettiin osana Clean Propulsion Technologies (CPT) -hanketta, jonka rahoittajana toimii Business Finland. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa tarkastellaan aikaisemman tutkimuksen tuloksia, järjestelmän osia sekä niiden mallinnukseen ja ohjaukseen tarvittavia tietoa. Simuloinnin avulla tutkittiin säädön suorituskykyä aktiivisessa kompensoinnissa. Lopuksi tarkastellaan säädön toteutettavuutta, rajoitteita ja tutkimuksen kehitysideoita jatkoa ajatellen.
Simulinkin avulla rinnakkaishybridistä muodostettiin simulointimalli, jonka avulla tutkittiin aktiivisen säädön suorituskykyä voimansiirron tasapainotuksessa. Säädön perustana hyödynnetään vektorisäätöä ja algoritmin vääntömomenttiohjeen muodostuksen osalta tarkastellaan käytännönläheisesti eri vaihtoehtoja toteuttaa kompensointi. Simulointien lähtökohtana tarkasteltiin polttomoottorin tyhjäkäyntiä, jossa värähtely on voimakasta.
Simulointien perusteella pulssityyppisellä kompensoinnilla voidaan tehokkaasti vähentää vääntömomentin ja pyörimisnopeuden väreen huippuarvoja. Jatkuvalla kompensoinnilla voidaan tehokkaasti tasoittaa värähtelyä koko dieselin syklin ajan. Pyörimisnopeuden PI-säätimen hyödyntäminen ei tuottanut merkittäviä tuloksia aktiivisessa kompensoinnissa ilman erityistarkastelua. Simulointitapausten perusteella kammen kulmaan perustuvien kompensointimenetelmien kanssa järjestelmän hitausmassaa olisi mahdollista vähentää.
Sähkökoneen avulla voidaan vaimentaa dieselin työkierron aiheuttamia harmonisia komponentteja matalilla taajuuksilla, mutta sähkökone tuottaa harmonisia komponentteja lähellä kytkentätaajuutta. Kompensoinnin korkeimman saavutettavan tehokkuuden määrää dieselin vääntövärähtelyn huippuarvojen sekä sähkökoneen maksimivääntömomentin suhde. Suurimmat rajoitukset toteutukselle muodostuvat sähkökoneen lämpötilasta, säädön vasteen nopeudesta sekä prosessin viiveiden vaikutuksesta. In this thesis, the torque and speed ripple and thus the vibration produced by a Diesel engine, and how they can be compensated by using an electric drive installed on the same shaft, are analyzed. The thesis was carried out as a part of Clean Propulsion Technologies (CPT) project, which is funded by Business Finland. In the literature review the technologies behind the design along with dynamics, modelling, and control of the main components are analysed. Control performance in active compensation is studied with simulations. Finally, the feasibility and restrictions of the control, and future development ideas are discussed.
A parallel hybrid simulation model is built using Simulink and it is parametrised to represent an example hybrid working machine. The model is used to simulate active compensation methods for compensating drivetrain torque ripple. Field oriented control is used as the basis for control implementation and practical methods for producing a suitable torque reference are analysed. Diesel idle state is used as a reference point for the simulations, as vibrations are most prominent there.
According to the simulation results, even pulse torque references can be used to reduce peak torque and angular speed ripple. A continuous estimate of the diesel torque produces effective results for the whole cycle of the engine. Using a PI speed controller did not offer sufficient performance without special control implementation. It was concluded that it is potentially possible to reduce the inertia of the flywheel with active compensation.
The electric machine can be used to dampen the harmonic components caused by the diesel work strokes, but it produces high frequency harmonics near the switching frequency. Maximum possible performance of active compensation is determined by the diesel torque vibration peak values and the maximum torque produced by the electric machine. The most significant restrictions for using discussed control methods stem from delays of the system, component temperature rise and torque response of the control algorithm.
