Tiivistelmä
Tässä diplomityössä selvitetään uusien kaupallisten lämpöpumppujen soveltuvuutta fosforihapon esilämmitykseen. Uusien lämpöpumppujen lisäksi työssä arvioidaan varastoitujen ammoniakkijäähdytyskoneiden soveltuvuutta samaan tarkoitukseen.
Lämmönlähteenä lämpöpumppuprosessille toimii väkevöintiprosessin jäähdytyskierron raakavesi. Nykyisellään tämä raakavesi johdetaan keskimäärin 20–30 ℃ takaisin järveen. Tarkoituksena on lisätä väkevän fosforihapon tuotantoa lisäämällä haihdutusprosessin lämpötehoa hyödyntämällä järveen menevää hukkalämpöä.
Työ sisältää teoriaosan, jossa käsitellään kompressiolämpöpumppujen pääkomponentit, sekä soveltavan osan, missä lasketaan lämpöpumpulla saavutettava tuotannon kasvu kolmella eri lämpöpumppuratkaisulla. Soveltavaa osaa varten pyydettiin budjettitarjoukset neljältä eri lämpöpumppuvalmistajalta. Lämpöpumppujen lisäksi pyydettiin budjettitarjoukset välipiirin lämmönvaihtimesta ja kiertopumpusta. Tarjousten pohjalta luotiin kolme yksinkertaistettua lämpöpumppumallia ja laskenta toteutettiin Excel-ympäristössä hyödyntämällä avoimenlähdekoodin Coolprop-aineominaisuuskirjastoa.
Työssä selvisi, että varastoidut ammoniakkijäähdytyskoneet eivät kelpaa fosforihapon esilämmitykseen liian korkean lauhtumislämpötilan vuoksi. Uusista lämpöpumpuista tehokkaimmalla ratkaisulla vuosittaiseksi tuotannon lisäykseksi saatiin 438 tonnia. Tällöin investoinnin takaisinmaksuaika vaihtelee fosforihapon markkinahinnan mukaisesti 2,8–9,3 vuoden välissä. Ratkaisun keskimääräiseksi COP-arvoksi saatiin noin 2,52. This thesis investigates the suitability of new commercial heat pumps for preheating phosphoric acid in phosphoric acid concentration process. In addition, an evaluation is done to assess the suitability of old ammonia-refrigeration units for the same purpose.
The heat source in the heat pump process is water in the cooling cycle of the concentration process. At present, this water is returned to a lake on average temperature of 20-30 ℃. The aim is to increase the production of concentrated phosphoric acid by increasing the thermal power of the evaporation process by utilizing the waste heat returned to the lake.
The work includes a theoretical part, which explains the main components of compression heat pumps, and an applied part, in which the production growth is calculated with three different heat pump solutions. For the applied part, offers were requested from four different heat pump manufacturers. Offers were also requested for the intermediate circuit heat exchanger, and for the circulation pump.
Three simplified heat pump models were created based on the offers received. The calculations were performed in an Excel environment utilizing the open source Coolprop-refigerant property library.
The work revealed that the stored ammonia cooling machines are not suitable for preheating the phosphoric acid, due to too high a condenser temperature. The best solution of the newly proposed heat pumps resulted in an annual increase in production of 438 tons. In this case, the payback period of the investment varies between 2,8 and 9,3 years, depending on the market price of phosphoric acid. Average COP of the solution was about 2,52.
