Tiivistelmä
A considerable improvement in the performance of electrical machines can be achieved via advances in motor thermal management. Emerging materials for electrical insulation and cooling systems of a motor demonstrate enhanced thermal properties compared to traditionally used material options. This is considered a factor contributing to removing heat from the machine's parts to the surrounding medium, thus, enabling design solutions with outstanding power density. This research studies the latest developments in material technology, aiming to improve further the thermal and electrical performance of rotating electrical machines. These improvements of performance are investigated utilizing ANSYS Motor-CAD for the study case of a 115 kW motor.
