Tiivistelmä
The study presents a service concept containing the requirements that a technology equipment manufacturer operating in the EV charging industry needs to fulfil to place remanufactured products in the market. The main objective is to present a proposal that can enable competitive advantages. For this, the study is developed applying design science research principles. Based on the existing literature related to service management, the service concept house is created as an artifact capable of supporting companies with the process of designing new services. To confirm the utility of the artifact, the manufacturer is taken as a case study. The elements included in each building block of the service concept house are applied in a step-by-step process exposing operative considerations, challenges, risks, and benefits related to the new offering. The result for the company is the obtention of a service concept proposal feasible to be implemented, demonstrating the potential of the service concept house as a tool capable of solving new service development managerial problems.
