Sisäisen logistiikan ja materiaalivirtojen kehittäminen oviteollisuudessa

Abstract

Työn aiheena on parantaa kohdeyrityksen sisäistä logistiikka ja varastonohjausta. Kohdeyritys on pitkäjänteisesti kehittänyt tuotannon läpivirtausta. Kehitystyön seurauksena on tullut tarve kehittää lisäksi tieto- ja materiaalivirtoja, joiden avulla voidaan kehittää tuotannon virtaustehokkuutta. Työn tavoitteena on löytää kohdeyrityksen varustelualueen sisäisestä logistiikasta, materiaalivirroista ja varastonohjauksesta kehityskohteita. Kehityskohteita parantamalla halutaan vähentää varustelijan työpisteeltä poistumiseen kulunutta aikaa ja varastoihin sitoutunutta pääomaa sekä selkeyttää sisäisen logistiikan materiaalivirtoja.

Työ aloitettiin perehtymällä kirjallisuuteen Lean-ideologiasta, sisäisestä logistiikasta ja varastonohjauksesta. Kirjallisuuden avulla saatiin teoreettinen ymmärrys prosessien ja materiaalivirtojen parantamiselle. Lisäksi pystyttiin paremmin tunnistamaan prosessien mahdollisia hukkia ja kehityskohteita. Lähtötilanteen ymmärrys saatiin havaintojen, keskusteluiden ja haastatteluiden avulla. Materiaalivirtojen kehitystyö toteutettiin viikon mittaisena kehitysprojektina, jonka aikana halutut muutokset prosesseihin tehtiin esille tulleiden kehityskohteiden perusteella. Kehitysviikon jälkeen seurattiin muutoksien toteutumista samalla kuin aloitettiin kehittämään varastonohjausta tunnuslukukeskeiseksi.

Työn tuloksena pystyttiin vähentämään varustelijoiden työpisteeltä poistumisaikaa, muodostamaan selkeämpi materiaalivirta työpisteille ja vähentämään varastoon sitoutunutta pääomaa. Työlle asetetut tavoitteet saavutettiin. Saatuja tuloksia voidaan jatkotutkimuksissa hyödyntää muun tehtaan sisäisen logistiikan ja yrityksen muiden tehtaiden kehittämisessä.

The topic of the work is to improve the target company's internal logistics and inventory management. The company has long-term developed the flow of production. As a result of the development work, there has been a need to further develop information and material flows, which can be used to increase the flow efficiency of production. The goal of the work is to find development targets in the internal logistics, material flows and warehouse control of the target company's equipment area.

The work started by familiarizing ourselves with the literature on Lean ideology, internal logistics and warehouse management. With the help of literature, a theoretical understanding was obtained for improving processes and material flows. In addition, it was possible to better identify potential bottlenecks in the processes and areas for development. An understanding of the starting situation was obtained through observations, discussions, and interviews. The development of material flows was carried out as a week-long development project, during which the desired changes to the processes were made based on the identified development targets. Inventory management was developed to be based on key figures.

As a result of the work, it was possible to reduce the time it takes employees to leave the workplace, create a clearer material flow to the workplaces, and reduce the capital tied up in the warehouse. The goals set for the work were achieved. The obtained results can be used in further research for other internal logistics in the factory and in the development of the company's other factories.
