Tiivistelmä
The advancement of electric mobility is taking us into a new era of the vehicle industry where software plays a crucial role in terms of shaping the whole system. This thesis investigates the numerous impacts of software-related strategies in the field of electric mobility. It also thoroughly examines the impact of software-defined vehicles in the future automobile industry. A significant part of the thesis discusses mobile applications created by both manufacturers and software development companies. The study also explores the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in electric mobility and their crucial role in terms of a seamless experience. This paper also covers the integration of different software engineering techniques like blockchain, Machine Learning, and deep learning in terms of solving problems related to electric vehicle batteries and charging station-related problems.
The barriers behind user adoption have also been discussed and some software-based features have also been suggested in the paper for future development. To conclude, the thesis provides an in-depth view of the relationship between software and electric mobility providing future possibilities which will reinvent the electric vehicle industry.
