Tiivistelmä
The Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0, is transforming the asset management landscape, presenting new challenges and opportunities. The increasing interconnectedness of assets and systems, combined with the growing availability of data, has led to the development of Industry 4.0 platforms for asset management. These platforms provide unprecedented levels of visibility and control, enabling asset managers to optimize performance and reduce costs. However, interoperability and cyber security challenges must be addressed to fully realize the benefits of Industry 4.0 asset management. In this paper, we review the state of the art in Industry 4.0 asset management, and discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by interoperability and cyber security. We propose a framework for addressing these challenges and highlight key research directions for advancing Industry 4.0 asset management. The paper concludes with a discussion of the implications of Industry 4.0 asset management for asset intensive industries, and the role of standards in ensuring interoperability and cyber security.
