In these days, nearly all the fields of life and people are somehow dependent on the Internet of Things (IoT). The usage of renewable energy is gradually growing. Smart city energy needs can be efficiently met with the use of IoT in renewable energy projects.
This thesis aims to illustrate how IoT applications affect these kinds of projects through a few real-world examples of IoT in renewable energy projects. The thesis first introduces the background of IoT and renewable energy. Then there will be explanations of the benefits of applying IoT in renewable energy projects and some examples of IoT applications in renewable energy projects.
This thesis looks at how IoT might improve the dependability and efficiency of renewable energy projects, including wind and solar. What's more, this thesis has a discussion about the future trends and some challenges of IoT in the renewable energy projects.
