Tiivistelmä
Smart grid is an intelligent power grid that is an upgraded version of the traditional power grid. Which uses more advanced technology and more precise control methods to make the grid system more reliable and able to meet the needs of safety, economical and environmental protection.
The development of the smart grid is still in its infancy, and its intelligence means that there will be a lot of information about electricity use generated during the use of electrical appliances. This data need to be collected and processed, and such a large amount of data for the traditional central processing system, will be too large, and because of the transmission distance as well as processing efficiency, the resulting delay will also have a certain impact on the control of the power grid.
In order to solve these problems, this thesis will discussed theoretically how to utilize IoT, Big Data as well as edge computing to process these large amounts of data. IoT and edge computing are utilized to collect large amounts of data, which is processed by Big Data. The data can be processed quickly and in real time to meet the requirements of reliability, security, of the smart grid.
