Tiivistelmä
The efficient use of fuels in combustion processes is significant for energy conversion and environmental sustainability. This thesis provides a review of the characteristics and applications of different types of fossil fuels used in combustion processes, including solid, liquid, and gaseous types, and introduces the improvements of combustion technology and equipment. This thesis compares the efficiency, emissions, and performance of fuels in industrial processes through a literature review and incorporating existing research findings. This thesis describes the possibility of sustainable energy to partially replace fossil fuels, studying the role of biofuels and hydrogen in addressing the double challenge of energy security and environmental impacts. Analyzes the fuel choices depend on technological, economic and other factors. This study uses data from literature to understand the combustion characteristics and environmental impact of fuel use. The results of the study highlight the potential of advanced biofuels and hydrogen as part of a sustainable energy mix that can reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels.
