Tiivistelmä

In parallel with the exponential growth of information technology, the restaurant industry is also gradually introducing intelligent management systems. A restaurant ordering and management system was developed. This system has been developed with the intention of meeting the needs of the modern restaurant industry and solving the problems of low efficiency and error-prone in the traditional way of ordering food.

The system employs Microsoft Visual Studio as the development environment, the .NET Framework as the framework, and a combination of the C# programming language and the PostgreSQL database to facilitate the efficient processing of back-end logic. The system comprises a number of modules, including those for menu and table management, order processing, staff and customer information management, and billing management. Restaurant managers are able to add, modify, or delete dish information with ease, waiters can process orders in a timely manner, and kitchen staff can receive orders instantaneously, ensuring the timely preparation of food. Additionally, the system facilitates the classification and management of order types, as well as the processing of payments through simulated transactions.

The implementation of this system not only enhances the operational efficiency of the restaurant but also markedly enhances the ordering experience of customers. The system's design prioritizes ease of operation and accuracy in information management, greatly simplifying daily management tasks and improving the efficiency of order processing.
