Kansainvälisten logistiikkaprosessien hallinta ja kehitys esittävien taiteiden kontekstissa

Abstract

Suomen kansallisoopperassa ja -baletissa kansainvälinen yhteistyö produktioiden tuottamisessa on viime vuosina lisääntynyt merkittävästi. Tämä tarkoittaa fyysisten lavasteosien liikuttamista yhteistyökumppanilta toiselle sekä Euroopan sisäisesti että mannertenvälisesti. Tämä vaatii taustalleen toimivia prosesseja, jotta esitysten järjestäminen ei vaarantuisi eikä resursseja hukattaisi.

Tässä tuotantotalouden diplomityössä kehitetään vuokra- ja yhteistuotantoproduktioiden kansainvälistä toimitusketjua logistiikkakoordinaattorin näkökulmasta. Lean-filosofia on vahva ajuri kohdeorganisaation kehitystyössä, joten diplomityön teoria rakentuu toimitusketjujen ja logistiikan kehityksen sekä lean-filosofian ympärille.

Työ toteutettiin konstruktiivisella tutkimusotteella, jonka lopputuloksena syntyi uusi prosessimalli sekä kaksi työkalua prosessin tueksi. Kehitetty konstruktio otetaan käyttöön työn aikana, mutta kokonaisen ketjun läpiviemisen seuraaminen jää työn ulkopuolelle pitkän syklin vuoksi.

Esittävien taiteiden hallinnasta on vähänlaisesti tutkimusta. Erityisesti teattereiden logistiikan hallintaa olisi hyödyllistä tutkia lisää, sillä kansainvälisesti teattereiden organisaatiot ovat isoja, liikutettavaa tavaraa on paljon ja toiminta on aikataulukriittistä.

At the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, international collaboration in production has increased significantly in recent years. This involves the transport of physical sets from one partner to another, both within Europe and across continents. Effective processes are required to ensure that performances are not threatened and resources are not wasted.

This Master's thesis in Industrial Engineering and Management focuses on the development of the supply chain of rental and co-production productions from the perspective of the logistics coordinator. Lean philosophy is a strong driver in the development efforts of the target organisation, which is why the theory of this study is strongly based on lean philosophy and on developing supply chain and logistics.

The study was conducted using a constructive research approach, resulting in the creation of a structure. This structure consists of a process model and two tools to support the process. The developed structure is implemented during the study but following the entire chain falls outside the scope of this work due to the long cycle involved.

There is little research on the management of the performing arts, and particularly the logistics management of theatres, which would benefit from further study. Internationally, theatre organisations are large, there is a significant amount of transported material, and operations are critically time sensitive.
