Tiivistelmä
The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the game industry is deepening, bringing more immersive and personalized experience to player. This systematic literature review focuses on the application of AI in enhancing non-player character (NPC) behavior and dynamic difficulty adjustment (DDA). Through a comprehensive review and analysis of existing research, we found that AI has made significant progress in giving NPCs more intelligent, realistic, and diverse behaviors. Meanwhile, AI-driven DDA mechanisms can also adjust game difficulty in real time according to player’s skill levels, thus maintaining player challenge and engagement.
