Tiivistelmä
The main objective of this thesis is to explore the impact of AI technologies in higher education and the potential impact on educational equity. For this purpose, firstly the development of AI in education should be reviewed. Discussing the role that AI plays in personalized learning, student assessment, and instructional decision-making, a detailed analysis of what impact these technologies have had on the current educational community is presented.
The thesis looks at future applications of AI in education, where on the one hand ai drives technological innovation in education, but on the other hand the education community and society need to take steps to ensure that the technology is ethical and fair. Artificial intelligence technology has enormous potential to transform the landscape of higher education, but it also requires a collaborative effort to eliminate biases and circumvent problems to ensure that all students have equitable access to the benefits of technological advances in education.
