Modern positive experience opportunities offered by metaverse

Abstract

In recent years, metaverse has received widespread attention and is becoming a new wave of innovation. It has gradually started to integrate into people's lives. Therefore, the application of metaverse in various aspects of daily life are becoming increasingly widespread and diverse. This study explores the development and impact of the metaverse on various aspects of human life. By achieving these goals, the research aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current status and identifying areas that require further improvement. This study first introduces the background and evolution of the metaverse, then conducts a literature review and analyzes its advantages in group activity offering side, arts and self expression opportunities, sustainable experiences in VR travel and mass events, as well as the disadvantages of the metaverse. To evaluate its practical significance, we conducted real-life practices using the Meta Quest 3 VR headset to evaluate the performance and user experience in multiple fields, including VR sports, videos, VR escape rooms, virtual art galleries, VR tourism, mass events, and MR leisure activities. According to the results, the metaverse can enhance the richness and convenience of people's lives by providing immersive environments and eliminating physical limitations in reality. It can increase the entertainment value of leisure activities, transform artistic expression, and promote sustainable development, and so on. These findings help to better understand the current applications and potential of the metaverse, offering important insights for its future expansion.
