Tiivistelmä
The first two decades of the 21st century have indisputably proven the significance of China and its ability to reshape global geopolitics.1 Several crucial questions then arise: How can we understand the complex socioeconomic structure that is responsible for orchestrating the phenomena such as China’s impressive and sustained economic growth? Is this remarkable growth a result of China’s departure from its socialist roots or, alternatively, its firm commitment to the renewal of socialism from within? What role does the Communist Party, which still governs the country, play in this context? In our book, we address these and other critical questions with an eye toward the ongoing evolution of the global capital accumulation process, examining China’s role in contemporary capitalism.
