Project management of wind farm execution

Abstract

In recent years, the share of renewable energy in production of electricity has increased. In Finland, especially the electricity generated by wind power has increased for the last 10 years, which has not only generated a cleaner energy, but also brought investments and jobs in Finland.

This research was conducted for the commissioning company, to describe the execution stage of the project life cycle of a wind farm project. The execution stage contains phases such as planning, construction, and completion. The main phases are explained in this thesis, as well as the variety of the forms of contracting. This thesis also explains, who are the key stakeholders of the project, and the risk management associated with execution stage. The research for this thesis was conducted by utilizing methods of quantitative and qualitative research.

Viime vuosina uusiutuvan energian osuus sähkön tuotannosta on kasvanut. Suomessa erityisesti tuulivoimalla tuotettu sähkö on lisääntynyt viimeisen 10 vuoden aikana, mikä on paitsi tuottanut puhtaampaa energiaa, myös tuonut Suomeen investointeja ja työpaikkoja.

Tämä tutkimus tehtiin tilaajayhtiölle kuvaamaan tuulipuistohankkeen hankkeen elinkaaren toteutusvaihetta. Toteutusvaihe sisältää vaiheet, kuten suunnittelun, rakentamisen ja valmistumisen. Tässä opinnäytetyössä selostetaan päävaiheita ja myös erilaisia urakointimuotoja. Opinnäytetyössä selvitetään myös, ketkä ovat hankkeen keskeiset sidosryhmät sekä toteutusvaiheeseen liittyvä riskienhallinta. Tämän opinnäytetyön tutkimus tehtiin kvantitatiivisen -ja kvalitatiivisen tutkimuksen menetelmiä hyödyntäen.
