Tiivistelmä
There are many different public transportation methods. The energy efficiency of the different methods is one key comparison criteria. In this paper, a high efficiency smart urban method is highlighted, and its energy consumption is compared with the traditional mobility methods. The used data includes a real data from the public transport operator at Helsinki region, Finland and values from literature are used. The energy consumption of the urban track capsule is determined mathematically. The results show that there is a significant difference between the different transportation methods. This case study results come from relative cold climate and from an economic area of approximately one million inhabitants.
