Tiivistelmä
Variable reluctance (VR) resolvers are used in electrical drives for position and speed feedback. Their winding-free rotors make them particularly robust and reliable. One example of their application is in electric vehicles.Meanwhile, the widespread use of VR resolvers in the aviation industry, which accounts for 35.3% of the market and represents the largest segment, drives the demand for lighter and more compact designs. This paper proposes a design for a compact VR resolver. Key aspects contributing to its size reduction are analyzed, and the design process is presented. A 2X resolver with a 16 mm external stator diameter and a 7 mm stator core length has been developed.
