Tiivistelmä
This short paper compiles the latest findings from energy transition research for the case of Egypt. The articles included cover the overall Egyptian energy transition across different sectors, the energy transition of Greater Cairo, and the country’s potential to provide global climate services and energy exports to the European market. The key results from these articles are outlined and used to derive policy and investment recommendations for the energy transition, highlighting Egypt’s opportunity to leapfrog fossil-fuelled development into a renewable-based one.
