Kiertotalouden periaatteella toimivat energiayhteisöt Namibiassa

Abstract

Tämä työ käsittelee kiertotaloutta ja energiayhteisöjä Namibiassa. Energiajärjestelmän muuttuminen ja sille asetetut tavoitteet kannustavat tutkimaan, miten kiertotalous ja energiayhteisöt voidaan yhdistää ja kuinka niitä voidaan hyödyntää tulevaisuuden järjestelmässä. Aihetta tutkitaan kirjallisuuskatsauksena. Työssä tutustutaan kiertotalouteen, sen hyötyihin ja sen periaatetta noudattaviin energiantuotantomuotoihin. Tämän jälkeen esitellään energiayhteisöjen toimintaperiaate sekä niiden toimintaedellytyksiä ja hyötyjä. Tulokset kertovat aurinko- ja tuulivoiman sekä jätteiden hyötykäytön olevan energiayhteisöille sopivia tuotantomuotoja. Karkeasti jaoteltuna rannikko ja maan pohjoisosa ovat parhaita alueita energiayhteisöille niiden monipuolisimmista energian tuotantomahdollisuuksista johtuen.

This paper studies circular economy and energy communities in Namibia. Changes and goals of energy system are encouraging research on how to combine the practices and how they are applicable in the system of the future. The subject is conducted as a literature review. In the paper, circular economy, its benefits and energy production methods that abide to its principles, are discussed. Next, energy communities and their prerequisites and advantages are presented. The results of the study indicate that solar and wind power as well as utilisation of waste are suitable energy production methods for energy communities. The coastal areas and the northern parts of Namibia are the best regions for energy communities due to their most versatile possibilities regarding the production methods.
