Tiivistelmä
Tämän diplomityön tavoitteena oli tarkastella jätteenpolttolaitoksen energiantuotantoa uuden turbiini-investoinnin yhteydessä. Kyseessä oli NG Nordicin omistama jätteenkäsittelylaitos, jonka energiantuotantoon kuuluu kolme jätteenpolttokattilaa. Kattilat tuottavat höyryä yhteiseen höyryverkkoon, johon uuden investoinnin jälkeen on liitetty kolme höyryturbiinia. Tämän lisäksi energiantuotantoa tukee kaksi apujäähdytintä, sekä erillisiä lämmönvaihtimia.
Tutkimus toteutettiin käyttämällä energiantuotannon mallintamiseen Solvo offline 6.3 ohjelmistoa. Solvolla mallinnettiin useita erilaisia tilanteita energiantuotannossa, kuten eri kattiloiden huoltoseisakkien aikaiset tuotannot kaikissa mahdollisissa ulkoilman lämpötiloissa. Simuloituja tuloksia verrattiin toteutuneisiin tuotantolukemiin ennen uuden turbiinin käyttöönottoa.
Tuloksista voidaan todeta, että uuden turbiini-investoinnin pitäisi saavuttaa sille asetetut tavoitteet. Jos ajotavat ja tuotanto pysyvät optimaalisina voidaan uuden turbiinin tavoitteista päästä jopa reilusti ylikin. Tämän lisäksi työtä tehdessä ilmeni muitakin kehitysideoita, jotka osaltaan voisivat lisätä laitoksen energiantuotannosta saatavaa taloudellista hyötyä. The aim of this master's thesis was to examine the energy production of a waste incineration plant during a new turbine investment. This was a waste treatment plant owned by NG Nordic. Energy production at this plant includes three waste incineration boilers. The boilers produce steam for a steam network to which three steam turbines have been connected. In addition, energy production is supported by two auxiliary coolers and separate heat exchangers.
The study was carried out using Solvo offline 6.3 software for energy production modeling. Several different situations in energy production were modeled with Solvo such as production during maintenance shutdowns of different boilers at all possible outdoor temperatures. The simulated results were then compared to the actual production before the new turbine was in operation.
From the results, it can be stated that the new turbine investment should achieve the goals set for it. If the production methods and production remain optimal the goals of the new turbine can even be significantly exceeded. In addition to this other development ideas emerged which could contribute to increasing the economic benefits of the plant's energy production.
