Tiivistelmä
The integration of rotating machinery with magnetic suspension technology is driven by the growing demand for higher efficiency and greater energy density in high-speed technologies. To achieve robust configurations with the capability to provide damping for flexible modes, various machine configurations have been proposed, namely bearingless machines, active magnetic bearing suspended systems, or their combination. This paper presents the modeling and control of high-speed machine technology. The system features a rotor suspended by two radial and one axial magnetic bearing, along with an electrical machine

The rotor model is presented using the system equivalent reduction expansion process (SEREP) reduction-based technique and that is combined with magnetic bearing and electrical machine model. Additionally, simulation results are provided, with an emphasis on the decentralized tuning of control loops and their analysis within a framework based on the Nyquist template.
