Tiivistelmä
Currently, the tradition face-to-face procedures of Finnish insurance companies are switching to digital platforms. As a results, the customers need a well-design, high-quality and accessible platforms for finding information, searching desired products, reading policies, reporting their claims, or even comparing prices, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to analyse and compare the two major insurance companies in Finland – LähiTapiola and If P&C - in order to improve their weaknesses in UI/UX design and accessibility.
To achieve this, this thesis examines both websites by using some methods such as heuristic evaluation, WCAG 2.1 and a UI/UX design principle matrix. Moreover, SimilarWeb analytic tool is used to understand user engagement and traffic. These methods help reveal how each website supports user needs, where problems occur, and how design choices affect the overall digital experience.
