This thesis takes the slide of the Yawei SKE1-160 servo press as the research object and investigates its lightweight design by three-dimensional modelling and finite element analysis. A geometry-modification method was adopted by removing non-critical material while retaining the main load-transfer and bearing regions. The results show that the proposed lightweight design reduced the mass by 13.83%. Under central loading, the redesigned slide still met the basic strength requirement, showing preliminary engineering feasibility. Under eccentric loading, deformation and equivalent stress increased more significantly, indicating that further local structural optimisation is still needed.
