Tiivistelmä
Rogowski coil is one of the earliest developed current measurement devices and is used for non-intrusive electrical current measuring and usage in AC applications. It measures current by using the magnetic field created around a conductor that is being measured. This thesis presents working principles of the Rogowski coil, advantages and potential, disadvantages of using it in comparison with other current measuring techniques. Literature sources are reviewed and used to give insights on Rogowski coil. AC circuit is designed and characterized using Rogowski coil. Current is measured and results of Rogowski coil measurements and mathematical model of the circuit are compared.
