Tiivistelmä
This thesis conducts a study on the structural composition and working principle of mechanical watch mechanisms through computer-assisted three-dimensional modeling and assembly display. The research focuses on the main functional systems of mechanical watches, including the energy storage and winding system, gear transmission system, time display system, and escapement and speed regulation system. The research results include three-dimensional models at the part level, exploded assembly views, and a systematic analysis of the functions each component undertakes in the process of power transmission, motion regulation, and time display. This paper demonstrates that, without disassembling the physical object, complex micro-mechanical mechanisms can be effectively studied through clear visual modeling and functional decomposition methods.

Cardan Gear Mechanism versus Slider-Crank Mechanism in Pumps and Engines
Karhula, Jukka
Acta Universitatis Lappeenrantaensis (Lappeenranta University of Technology, 29.02.2008)In machine design we always want to save space, save energy and produce as much power as possible. We can often reduce accelerations, inertial loads and energy consumption by changing construction. In this study the old ... -
Reasons for choosing mechanisms to protect knowledge and innovations
Olander, Heidi; Vanhala, Mika; Hurmelinna-Laukkanen, Pia (Emerald, 11.03.2014)Purpose - Prior research has confirmed the usefulness of both formal and informal protection mechanisms for governing knowledge flows.
