Tiivistelmä
This thesis examines the conditions under which a circular economy business ecosystem can be formed in connection with the Circular Economy Center Matkus Luuppi in Kuopio, Finland. The study focuses on how material flows, reuse and repair can be organised through cooperation between multiple actors, and what role the center can play in enabling a platform for this development.
The study applies a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews, and the data were analysed using thematic analysis.
The results show that the formation of a circular economy business ecosystem depends on coordinated roles, shared operating models and suitable infrastructure. Although significant potential exists in material flows, their utilisation is limited by fragmentation, lack of coordination and insufficient reuse channels. Clear cooperation structures and resource coordination are therefore required.
