Tiivistelmä
This paper introduces the design and analysis of a waterjet robotic system for cutting fighter jet canopies. The study covers Computer-Aided Design modelling, workspace analysis. The robot system is customized to fit a space of 2 × 1.2 × 1.2 meters, maintaining a gap of at least 1 centimetre during operation. The robot system modelled in this paper includes a ball screw, gantry, six-axis robot, motors, and nozzles. The modelling was performed using the SolidWorks software. Workspace simulation of the structure was conducted using MATLAB software. The results confirm that the robot system can function correctly to form a hemispherical machining area.
