Tiivistelmä
This thesis studies the design and additive manufacturing of a reduction gearbox for educational purposes. The gearbox was developed to demonstrate the basic principles of gear reduction, including speed reduction and torque transmission. A compact model was designed and produced using additive manufacturing technology, then assembled and tested for functionality. The results show that additive manufacturing can be an effective and low-cost method for creating educational mechanical models. This study provides a practical example of how 3D printing can support teaching and learning in mechanical engineering.
