Kattilalaitosten järjestelmällinen suunnittelu ja modulaarinen rakenne

Tiivistelmä
Tämän diplomityön tavoitteena on tutkia kattilalaitosten järjestelmällistä suunnittelua, huomioiden laitoksen elinkaariprosessit ja modulaarinen tuoterakenne. Kattilalaitokset investointituotteina toteutetaan tyypillisesti projektitoimintamallilla, jolloin jokainen toimitus suunnitellaan alusta kyseisen kohteen vaatimusten perusteella.
Tutkimuksessa tunnistettiin tyypilliset kattilalaitoksen suunnittelun prosessit kattilalaitosten kokonaistoimituksiin erikoistuneelle KPA Unicon Oy:lle. The goal of this thesis is to examine systematic boiler plant design by taking into consideration the life cycle processes and modular product structure of the plants. Boiler plants as investment products are typically carried out according to a project operation model where each delivery is planned from the very beginning according to the requirements of the application. The customers usually make their decisions based on the price due to which the basic solutions for the plant must be predetermined and the delivery process carefully planned in advance so that the cost and schedule can be predicted. The project manager carries the main responsibility also for successful planning and the project management models that are used are very product oriented which is why the demands are not emphasized enough. The design decisions don't meet the requirements of the interest groups.
There is a design model called Systems Engineering which is specifically meant for development and design of more complex systems but it is not yet utilized much in the field of energy technology. Together with ISO/ICE 15288 standard the model offers ready processes for systematic product design. Modular product structures are routine when it comes to components but the manufacturing of boiler plant systems is more complicated due to the great need for customized products. A process-like operations model can produce modular product structures and make management of boiler plant changes more efficient. This research identified the typical processes for boiler plant design for KPA Unicon Oy who specializes in comprehensive deliveries of boiler plants
